Good Hôtel for your Montreal stay
I'd definitely stay here again on future visits to Montreal. Hôtel location was great for me walking to many of the places I wanted to see. Parking on site was perfect since I arrived during a snow storm otherwise I'd have use Street parking. Rooms are clean and updated. Rooms are small but that's fine by me, I only sleep in them in vacation. Free breakfast was ok.

Good location, small rooms.
The room was very small. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was ok nothing to die for, coffee mugs are like toys, you need to get two. Pillows were also small. The gym is quite small too. Lol! Very good location. In general, great value for your money.

Nice hotel, small rooms but looked to be updated. Shower could have been cleaned a bit better and bed was uncomfortable, sagging in the middle.

High Five on Service, Cuisine; Eyeroll on Security
I'm headed home reliving deux amazing brekkie experiences at Travelodge By Wyndham Montreal Centre. Believe the feedback on the croissants and pains au chocolat -- delicious! Complimentary Continental breakfast is served in Branzino's. If you wish, you can opt for an "American" breakfast there at $6.95CAD--just remember, any meats are "sides," about $4CAD more. Next time I'll try supper at Branzino's because: 1) whenever I stopped at the hotel's mezzanine level to contemplate dining there, the food aroma was delectable; and 2) the ambiance seemed chill in a sophisticated way. Only reasons I didn't sup there: I'd had an early supper many neighborhoods away (amid my evening stroll); and 2) I stayed at Travelodge only two nights. On arrival night it was too late for me to eat supper (after 10 hours' traveling, I just desired to crash). And my second night at Travelodge wasn't a consecutive night, so I'd already dined out as mentioned above. I'd gone to Le Plateau, where the eating's great everywhere and where I'd longed for a poutine dish at La Banquise. Alas! La Banquise accepts only Canadian cash (of which I was down to my last three twoonie coins) and a Canadian debit card called Telerac (not sure of spelling). Nearly broke cash-wise, and hungry at this point, I nevertheless couldn't resist continuing to walk up rue Rachel est, with le Mont-Royal huge and gorgeous ahead beneath a twilight sky. I chose Tutta Pizza. Yum! About this Travelodge: A+++ service, C on lobby security.

A very, very cozy room
The major problem was the size of the room and the size of the bed. I had requested a queen-size. My understanding is that a standard queen measures 60 inches in width, and a standard double, 54. The bed in our room was 57 wide. I called the front desk and was told that a larger bed could not fit in the room. This I believe since it was impossible to open a desk or a storage drawer while either of us was sitting on the bed. We had to walk sideways to get from one side of the bed to the other. USA Today states the size of an average hotel room as 325 square feet. I did not measure the entire room but I'd estimate it at 150 square feet -- certainly less than 200. Other issues -- such as a phone that didn't work, a missing lamp and a detached drawer pull -- were all immediately and adequately addressed. A smear on the mirror remained there for the three days we stayed. Otherwise the housekeeping seemed adequate. Lack of space, however, made for a less than comfortable stay. And I consider the representation of the bed size as queen to be false advertising.

First Time at a Travelodge and the Last
As a business traveler, I spend my share of nights in hotel rooms. I paid $280/night for this hotel room which could only fit a queen bed and desk. The shower stall was barely large enough for me to fit (and I am not a big guy). I could not close the closet door with a suit jacket on the hanger as the closet was not deep enough. The bathroom sink was too small to properly was my face as it was tucked under a shelf that was located in the wrong place. I was unable to adjust the temperature in the room. This hotel may be suitable for one person on vacation but certainly not suitable for a business traveler.
