    Sadly disappointed
Let me first off say that the staff were very nice and helpful ... well aside from the cleaning lady who was trying to get us to leave and check out an hour early. The room itself smelled musty and was humid. Turning the AC to 69 degrees sadly did not help. My biggest complaint is that the fact when you spend over $150 dollars on a room and they still charge you extra on many items. You have to pay extra for parking and also there is a separate charge for breakfast. I’m still in shock that when you spend nearly $200 on a room those items are not included. I was very disappointed and will not return. I hope that anyone who reads this review will have a better experience at this location.

    Facade
Very disappointed. Hotel was expensive for its condition. It's an older hotel with new paint & decor but it's a facade. Room was musty/humid. AC ran the entire time but never helped the smell. Bed uncomfortable. Bathroom partially updated. WIFI is really bad!! Elevators so slow! Cleaning staff knocking on the door at 9:15am. Waited an hour & a half for a luggage cart at checkout...it never showed up. I had to make 3 trips to my car. Parking ridiculous expensive. I was there with my daughter for dance convention. Hotel was not prepared for the capacity. Not enough food options and were expensive. Lines for everything, elevators, food, check in(at 930pm) took 45 mins. Needless to say this made for poor service and bad experience. I splurged on this hotel for the Hilton name, 4 star "resort", and extra service that I ended up not being able to use. This was no way worth the money.

Great service and people. The beds could be more comfortable but all around good experience.

    Nice for Price
This is a nice hotel for its price range. I loved that the pool had a deep end. Most people were playing in the shallow end, so I swam laps in the deep end where I just had to avoid a few other people. I loved the omelet station, but wish I had skipped the waffles. At least they had a variety of toppings. In general, I felt that the breakfast buffet was too expensive for what I ate. My suggestion is to arrive hungry and with enough time not to have to rush through your meal. The room and bed were comfortable and the heating/air conditioning worked well. The shuttle to and from Universal is free, but be careful if you take a late shuttle back. The later shuttle does not have an organized queue, so it was a bit of a mob scene. I just missed a bus and had was one of the first people there for the next bus. Because there is no organized waiting area where the later busses pick up, people were coming at the busses from both sides, skipping in front of the people who had gathered in the center of the area where the doors would open. People pushed their way to the front and had no difficulty knocking me to the ground to get past me. I was pushed from behind and the sides many times before someone actually pushed me down to the sidewalk. The bus driver saw this did her best to prevent me from getting hurt again, but it was an impossible situation. I did not deduct any stars from the hotel because this is a shuttle problem and not a hotel problem.
