The staff were nice and friendly. The building itself was in poor shape. The shower wall in our room was literally cracked in half and taped together. Our lampshade on the lamp on the nightstand table was moldy. The place literally felt like you were in an aquarium. This place is in desperate need of a renovation.

The 1st room I was given,the TV or phone did not work..The young man at the front desk quickly changed my room..The other room was wonderful,actually bigger for my autistic son to run around..There was a jetted tub in the bathroom that I took full advantage of!It was so peaceful and relaxing after my son went to sleep..Thank you to the young man at the front desk!I will be back in a few weeks for more dr appointments and will request that same room if available!

Make sure to book a deluxe room. I accidentally booked a standard room which was NOT my expectations. I’m not one to complain normally but the pictures shown were the deluxe rooms which are in much better care and located in the main hotel. The staff were friendly and moved me right away when I talked to them about the mistake and took notes on my complaints (I showed them pictures). The breakfast was very good. I didn’t get a chance to check out the pool but from what I saw it looked decently maintained. Overall a very nice stay just wished I had more time to explore Charleston

Toilets are a bit funky need several flushes. Rooms have been updated but there still is minor issues that need fixed. Breakfast was alright and included eggs and sausages along with continental style. Decent pool. A bit noisy and expect a lot of traffic on weekends form charters as it sits right on a marina They charge you $11 for parking which is beginning to be a thing but there not really up front about it tell your at front desk

The place looked old and worn. The room was clean, the staff was pleasant. But having a room that faced the boatyard with a stack of boats racked up like groceries out of the window, and forklifts beeping until all hours of the night wasn't very pleasant. Also, the hotel isn't within walking distance of anything. I arrive just after lunch very hungry.And the only restaurant with a walking distance opened at four o'clock

We have been coming to this location on and off the last 10 years. Terrrific location Experience about average. Certainly value for the amount paid. We liked our room in the older building,which was Handicap accessible from parking to elevator to room (150) with grab bars in the bathroom and shower area, great to have dorm size fridge and microwave Staff in main building check in, etc.were OK but often times at check-in desk. There were just several people talking to each otherLobby and breakfast area were humid and not comfortable and quite loud, but that might be related solely to the other folks staying at La Quinta. Next time I will gather breakfast for my spouse in a wheelchair and take it back to our room

The location of this hotel was perfect. Breakfast was lacking. Sadly, they seemed short staffed, which impacted the quality of the breakfast offered. Our room was clean, but the hallways needed to be vacuumed. Overall, we loved the location which was between Charleston and Folly Beach! We also liked that it was located in a marina.
