Convenient & Comfortable Stay in Shinagawa
My husband and I were visiting japan for the first time and our friend recommended Prince Hotel. She stated that EVERY year her and her family stay at the Shinagawa location because of its prime location across the street from a main train hub. The hotel itself is quite exquisite and has all the amenities you can think of. The rooms were fairly average (I can’t say the interior rooms matched the hotel itself), but offered a dehumidifier which became a blessing during the warm/humid summer days. The price and location can’t be beat. The service was friendly and check in was a breeze (they do offer self check in kiosks). Be mindful there are lots of large groups & families that stay at this location.

The hotel was located right in front of Shinagawa station with hundreds of shops around it. For those who are not familiar with Japan, it would be still ok just to walk around within 500m from hotel.

Make sure you book a RENOVATED room
This is easily one of the largest hotels in Tokyo, Tons of amenities in a great location next to the Shinagawa station. I picked it because of the renovated rooms, but when we checked in we were in a standard room in the annex wing.. Luckily we were able to change to upgraded rooms, or another $20 a night. But it was totally worth it The one thing I found surprisingly annoying Even as a hotel gas, you have to pay to use both the gym in the swimming pool. I don’t understand that at all. Not that we had time to do either, but i’m already paying. In fact, I can’t remember another time or place where I’ve had to pay extra to use those facilities. I would definitely recommend doing the Apple Park. That is also an extra charge but it is an awesome aquarium! Masato is definitely about size and location. I’ll stay here again for both.
