New Years 2019 stay.
We wanted tone on the Seine and have a view of the Eiffel Tower and river view which we got. Fantastic views. Hotel staff were great especially Barbara at the front desk. All the amenities are there and the neighborhood filled in all extra needs. Great stay for what we wanted .. we brought in a Happy New Year and my daughters birthday! Would stay again.

Ok to stay
Location is great and breakfast was ok. My biggest turn off was when my kids wanted to use the pool and the pool guy said they couldn't use swim trunks and need spandex. This is a hotel pool and who cares what you wear? I primarily booked because of the pool and the only day they wanted to use the pool, they couldn't. I've been to other countries and that was the first. Carpet in the room was too old and dirty for a 4 star. The utility panel in the room which looks like it led to the underground was open and it took 2 attempts to close it. Americans, buy a spandex to swim if you plan on using the pool.

Good location, comfortable room
Great location, a short walk from two metro lines, and of course 15 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. Room was comfortable, showing some wear in places. We got a great price on our room, so no reason to complain. We had one unpleasant experience at the swimming pool due to the requirement that men and even my young sons had to buy a "speedo" type swimsuit and wear a swim cap to use the pool. This seems a ridiculous requirement since we all brought swimsuits with us. The attendant at the pool was curt and unpleasant for no reason. Clearly other guests were also confused and not happy that their own swimsuits were not acceptable. Novotel, you should really revisit this policy.
