Quite Disappointing
I stayed at The Piccadilly recently as I was seeing a show. Ive been there before in the 4 poster room and it was brilliant but this time i opted for a deluxe. I would say deluxe is an over statement, the room was tiny and had a sloped roof over our head (not ideal as we are both over 6ft). There were no coat hooks, three large pinkish stains on the wall and a bathroom which I will describe as compact. This although not great wasnt the issue. The lady at the desk when i checked in forgot to ask me to give the card i used to book to complete the room payment. It showed as a pending payment on my account so i assumed it was all fine. The next morning my partner pops down and was accosted being told something was wrong with my card payment and he needed to resolve it. He refused until he spoke to me and when we came downstairs we were told it wasnt an issue with the card but a new member of staff who forgot to action the payment. Cue 5-10 mins of faffing about before my payment was sorted. I will say they comped our breakfast and the coca cola i bought from the mini bar. I called it an experience, we checked out and i thought it was all done. Until i checked my bank account which is now an extra £200+ down as i now have TWO pending payments to the hotel. I call them, email screenshots etc. They explained they have now cancelled one of the pending payments and I should see it in 2-3 days. This has left a bad taste in my mouth, made my time away unpleasant, I wont be returning

Very disappointing for the price
Room had 1 mug and no towels - called the lobby and they said they'd send the missing items. Someone knocked and topped up the fruit bowl then a few minutes later someone else, to our surprise, just walked right in the room without knocking and handed us one towel. We said, that as there were two of us, please could we have a towel each. He left and a little later someone else came (at least they knocked before coming in!) with another towel. Also, the strip of spikes that held the carpet down by the bathroom door were sticking out and I cut my toe. We complained to the hotel and have had no response.

Central location it’s the time square of New York
Great location hotel was very nice very welcoming with fruit and waters. Issue with the room being restocked with coffee for some reason we’ve had to ask for coffee numerous times. But the staff were very helpful. The location is unbeatable, but it is noisy since it is on a main street but you are literally walking distance from so much. No need to taxi or have a car here.
