Never Again
It was very nice how they had everything set up. I loved the decorations. But the services were the worst I’ve ever been to. The people in the morning when we checked out and the people at night when we checked in both were very rude. They don’t tell you everything about what’s being charged on website until you get there. Then they told me it’s $51 for amenities which is fine and then you get it back whenever you check out. And I specifically asked them so I’ll get it back tomorrow? And the lady told me yes. Then the next day the guy said it’ll be 3-7 days. On the website we seen that we could have a double room and have an extra roll in bed. So whenever we got there we asked for it and the lady was like no you not getting a roll in bed you have two beds already. I said ok well maybe I misread it and I said well can I at least get pillows and blankets to sleep on ground? She said i don’t know let me see what I can do and took about 20 minutes taking her time going in the back then upstairs to get it. She brought me 2 pillows 4 sheets and one light blanket. I don’t know what was going on but I know we will never stay here again. Beautiful place but horrible service.

It’s an eclectic hotel, but the room lacked some basics. No trash can in the bathroom, no water glasses, one of the bedside tables was missing(the wall showed where it used to hang). It was poorly lit and the tile in the bathroom was not very clean looking. Parking was $42. Oddly we could hear people walking next door, it sounded like they were actually in the same room with us. Could hear their conversations clearly. There wasn’t street noise so it was just strange. It was walking distance to lots of good food. Not terrible, but we won’t return.

I enjoyed my stay. I was a bit surprised that my room was so small with no true window (it looked directly into some kind of shaft) considering the photos on the website. I would suggest better lighting in the bathroom. For a woman, it was extremely difficult to put on makeup and since there was no window I had no access to natural light.

Really great experience at the Old No.77! We went during Mardi Gras which is crazy, but the check-in process was very fast and efficient and we even got our hotel room early! Highly recommend staying here!!

These walls are thin.
The hotel itself was fine. The guests staying next door to us had young children who they allowed to be up and loud and running all throughout the room late at night and early in the morning. The Old No. 77 is loft styled with hard wood floors so there’s little noise absorption. Definitely not a kid friendly hotel. So for us to have to be awakened by children not our own at 4 & 5 o’clock in the morning both nights was disappointing. do not believe the $800+ spent for two nights was worth it at all.

No window in the room
No window in the room. Decent place outside of that, love the dog policy!

Beautiful, but noisy!
The hotel itself is wonderful! It’s beautifully redone and the rooms are so spacious. The vibe is great and it’s within reasonable walking distance from Canal and Bourbon streets. It was also basically a block from all the hotels where the conventions are held, so it’s a great location. It’s still very loud, though. The walls are so thin so we could hear every single thing in the halls and outside. It kept us up quite a bit throughout our stay, so I’d keep that in mind before booking.

Our stay here was incredible, the staff was so helpful and friendly! Unfortunately our car was hit while parked across the street and we were left in a very tough situation. The other driver attempted to drive away but thankfully the valet staff ran him down and we were able to get the police called. This all happened from 12-3 at night and the front desk staff was so kind and gave us a free breakfast credit to our stay. In addition, we had to stay an additional night because of the circumstances. I was worried about what a day of booking price would be, but Kat generously gave us a reduced rate and was able to keep us in the same room. We were actually on a road trip moving from the west coast to east coast which created such a problematic situation and huge headache for us to figure out, so I can not describe my appreciation for everyone at this hotel making it a little easier for us! Also on a side note, the vibe of this place is amazing, loved the historical but modern feel. It was very clean and in an perfect location as well! Definitely get a room here!
