Good Ocean View but Poor Rooms
As soon as we walked into the room it was a major disappointment. It felt like a dorm room and had a weird smell. I found the room to be very dirty and the lamp shades were falling apart. After I found something questionable with the cleanliness of the room, I requested to be moved to a new room. The front desk manager didn’t have another room that was similar, only a room that was smaller and with a view of the back of the building (my view was ocean on the original room). After inspecting the new room, I asked to speak with the hotel manager and he was really nice and moved us up to a higher floor and a better room (thanks for that!). Sadly, there was another weird smell when we walked in. I’m not sure if it’s just an old building or the ac vents need to be cleaned but it was a struggle to want to stay in the room sometimes. Parking is free and there is parking across the street if needed. There was a good variety of breakfast options available, so that was a plus.

    Exceptional 10.0
Great hotel at the edge of the historic district
We enjoyed the hotel very much. The service and attention of the staff was excellent. The only minor negative is that the hotel is a bit of a walk from the most interesting parts of Palermo. As a couple with mobility problems, this was an issue for us.

From the good parts i would mention, pool and just across the sea. From the bad things i would say that their lack of flexibility and outdated rooms ar the the most important ones.

    A good hotel in Palermo
The hotel restaurant was convenient and good. The pool looked really nice though the weather was just a touch to cool for swimming. The hotel could use a BANK ATM machine (not Euromat which is a rip-off) for the guests' convenience. ATMs are sparsely distributed in Palermo. The hotel could also use a small business center for the use of its guests with at least a couple of desktop computers.

Not up to NH standards. Below par.
Great location. Staff not very helpful when asked to intervene with local taxi driver trying to RIP me off. (Always in Italy). One of the reasons I use NH hotels is to help protect me from environment. But front desk were locals protecting locals. That aside, front desk very helpful with map suggestions. Eating recommendations, etc. Call it a toss up! Hotel, beautiful, immaculate. Great art. Stairwell was beautiful marble. Great looking lobby. Nice room. Nice mmattress, great pillows.. low water pressure. No coffee machine in room, which is kinda NH standard. No complimentary water in room. Breakfast VERY inferior by other NH standards. Location cannot be beat. Yes, you can walk to the station or downtown. Swimming pool set out of service, which was also not mentioned or forewarned.. it was 18C same with jacuzzi.. closed, but still marketed on website. I will not stay again, mainly because of the inferior breakfast buffet.
