avid female traveler, early 30's, here on a solo trip, for perspective. The area of the hotel is quiet, seems like a business area. I was there during vacation weeks in Milan, it was empty, very quiet. There is no shopping or dining in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, but it is close to a lot of metro/tram lines, also very walkable, 10min in any direction you are in a happening neighborhood w/plenty. 15 mins & you are at the duomo.
Check in was easy, my room was ready. The entrance of the hotel is lovely. The lobby bar was very cute, with a pool table. All the staff there were very polite, welcoming, friendly. I'm an expedia VIP gold which entitles me to certain perks like a room upgrade, usually welcome drinks or bottle of wine. I received no upgrades. No wine. No drink. Even though it said when booking all were incl. Room upgrades are subject to availability, and per their booking website all upgraded rooms were in fact available, they just did not give it.
The included breakfast was amazing!
I booked 6days in a single room with a twin bed. The twin bed is actually larger than twin bed by US standards, and was comfortable. The room was pretty small, but a good size for 1person esp for Europe. But he price, the room needed touch ups, mini bar wasnt stocked, i ordered room service on the first night, and they literally brought me a plate with two slices of bread with ham & chips, & just handed it to me at the door. It wasnt even covered... But they charged $8 for service.
