Tropical Paradise
We were greeted at the front desk by Delton's welcoming smile and glasses of champagne. What a great start to our vacation! The landscaping on this property is gorgeous! At night the Tiki torches light up the tropical plants for a magical experience. Our rooms were large and comfortable. We opted for "resort view" which put us at the back of the property. "Island view" is in the middle of the property overlooking the spa area pool and lagoon. Beach view is obvious. Never having been to the Keys, we weren't expecting the hard packed beaches, but they were lovely. The 525' pier is another thing unique to Cheeca. We took two 17 year old boys and a 23 year old boy. There was plenty to keep them occupied with the 9 hole par 3 golf course, paddle boards, sea kayaks, fishing, bikes, game room and pools. The resort staff are all warm and friendly. They bend over backwards to make sure your stay is all you hope it will be. Our only disappointment was the LONG wait for food service. Expect a 45-60 min. wait for food once you are seated. We found other dining options off property that were fun and delicious so don't be afraid to explore the island. We definitely will return!

Not worth it
Hadnt been in 4 years. Food has slipped. Service slipped. Isnt worth the price premium anymore. Still a nice place. But not double the price of other nearby resorts.

A once great resort in rapid decline
This property has declined significantly in the past two years. Personal service and attention is non existent. Rooms are not attended to. Grounds are not maintained - they used to be manicured. Staff is amateurish and shows no indication that they care about the guests. Better off staying at the Holiday Inn. I'm certain the service would be better and the rooms cleaner.
