Nothing special

Beautiful Marina View
Loved it! My husband and I spent our down time sitting on our balcony that overlooked a beautiful marina. We could walk into town, or just take the trolley from the stop which was 100 feet from our door. The room was comfy, staff friendly, and we even got a free breakfast.

Not a great hotel but friendly
The view was good.sunset was fantastic. The room was in dire need of remodeling. My husband is a bathroom hog and the main room did not have a mirror. The toilet needed to be flushed several times. No AC. I’m a hot blooded person so AC is a must. Was very expensive for what you got. I’ve stayed in Astoria several times and hope to return again but I wouldn’t go back here. Very friendly people. We showed up at the motel at 9:30 knowing that there was a 3:00 check in time but took a chance that a room was ready. My husband wasn’t feeling well and needed to lay down. They gave us a room! We are so greatfull go that. I feel it was overpriced about 80$. We paid $180 with tax.

Very Good8.0
The check-in process was smooth and friendly. We felt welcomed. The room had a great balcony overlooking the marina. The location was a little far from "downtown" but it's walkable and the trolley stop is right near the hotel. The room is basic but had basic amenities. My only complaint is the shower! The spigot was so low that it came to my chest and as I'm 5'9" I had to bend over backwards to wash my hair. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay.

Waterview, with bikes to see the town
Everything was very nice. Only one other time in my life have I had a room overlooking and OVERHANGING the water. The bed was superior and the sleeping rooms very quiet. The best thing was the friendliness at the front desk when we arrived, quite late because of a tree down on 30. They were warm and welcoming. All in my party made use of the loaner bikes, which were a huge plus in your community. Breakfast food was good, seemed freshly prepared, and plentiful. My only concern there -- and you'll hear this all the time now -- is to avoid so much plastic, in the cutlery, creamers, etc. There did not seem to be a recycling container in the breakfast area, though one of the desk clerks took my bottles. Your seaside location makes environmental protections even more urgent. Also, I always want to see the local paper, in the towns that are still lucky enough to have one. I had to hunt for one on my own walk, as the desk clerk on that second morning wasn't sure where to find one close by. Overall, the stay was fine.
