Not too bad
At first, it was hard to find the hotel. Other reviewers really meant it when they said it blends right in with everything around it. No big signs that say it's name. A few things: No valet parking as advertised - when we had trouble locating it, we called the front desk and the woman who answered just said "It should be right in front of the hotel." No, it was not. When we circled around the building while we were walking around we came across an empty lot that read "Hotel Union Square" which we assume was supposed to be the valet, BUT, there was a sign that said "demolition in progress." How can the hotel staff not know this? We ended up parking in a parking garage overnight. We booked one of their premium rooms and we had a nice view outside. The room was well kept except the bathroom could've used a bit more TLC. There were SO many people out and about during the day, driving was out of the question. Especially when it took us about an hour and a half of trying to find valet only to then park in a garage. Granted, we went during the Christmas/New Years time. The drivers around there are so much more aggressive than what we're used to. A lot of honking and yelling AND a lot of homeless people. Nothing compared to other hotel locations, but some of them will just walk into the middle of the street and start hitting your car for honking at them. We enjoyed our stay, but not the lack of knowledge. Going forward we will book with a hotel who knows of their parking situation.
