If you enjoy staying at Youth Hostels...
My boyfriend and I had reservations this past weekend and I just wanted to express how severely disappointed we were with the room and the hotel in general. Upon arrival, there was luggage crowding the lobby, the man who checked us in said there had been a glitch int he system due to the rain. The woman next him was standoffish when we asked if the steakhouse next door was any good. Not really a great start after spending a couple hours on a train. When we got to the room it was horrible! There was only one door connecting the adjacent room making us feel very uneasy about privacy. Also the room was advertised as being a queen bed was basically a twin! There was no way we could both fit on it! AND there was no hot water in the bathroom!!! It looked like a youth hostel, and definitely NOT worth $225!! We had plans soon after checking in so we had no time to bring up these issues with the front desk, especially when the standoffish woman was the only one there when we left. We ended up just picking up our bags after our appointment and staying at the Parc55 instead. I knew this was a boutique hotel, I just didn't expect a hostel. Again very disappointed.

Wasn't What I expected. Will seek another place
Finding parking was a complete hassle. We have two small children and we called the front desk for assistance. We spoke to the valet as we were getting our items and he went on break before we could check-in and give him our keys; this made us have to wait 15 minutes for him to come back. In that busy area, there was no way I was going to leave my car unattended. There were hidden fees that were not disclosed. Additionally, when checking out the valet got the wrong car and we had to wait additional time, more than the standard 30 minutes, for our car.

    Clean vintage hotel
Clean and basic in the Union Square area. Rooms were on the small side. Woodwork definitely shows building’s 100 year age.
