Feel rich for a day
It was beautiful had a vintage but upscale chic feeling but the bed was so comfortable and the bathroom made you feel famous definitely loved staying there and the incidental deposit makes it feel affordable for anyone to stay

Even with a manager follow up, lackluster service
We frequent the Congress several times a year. It's a great place to go that's close to Chicago and affordable. It's widely known that it's an old building and lots of us like to "ghost hunt" there. That being said, we have a great time usually and know that we are in an old dirty building and enjoy the fun of it. Usually everything is great. This last time though, the service at the front desk was APALLING. Tried to check in, told us to come back in 45 minutes and when we got there the room they had looked my children in the eyes and told would be available suddenly wasn't. No manager available all evening, a snarly girl telling me she was doing her best (when I wasn't even talking to her)….. SUCH a disappointment. Followed up with the manager who says he WAS there the entire time and should've been reached and he told me we couldn't have the room because they decided as a team they didn't want to the hallway lights on on that floor because of low occupancy. How about invite the kids to come check it out with you one afternoon? Maybe give a little effort? A discount on an additional stay so we could be on that floor? I NEVER ONCE anticipated that we would GET that room, but Jose, the front desk promised it to me and my children and then clocked out and left. Might be time to find a new place.
