Close to main attractions, however, rooms did not match photos as in photos hotel seemed upgraded. Rooms need to be upgraded, however, good price nice area.

Good stay, but updates to wing still needed
My stay was good. Staff were friendly. My stay was only a 2 night stay so I opted out of room service. Some things to mention: The room I was in was well updated except for the air conditioner. Did not work at all. I visited when it was cold so not a huge issue as I was able to open the window to cool down the room but if it had been summer I would have asked to change rooms. The part of the building I stayed in was pretty old. The room it’s self was updated but the elevator was a closet & had a weird smell as did the hallway. Also, I drank one of the waters offered but when I checked my bill 2 were charged to me. It was an easy fix to call but still had to take time out of my day to resolve this issue. Overall good stay but the buckingham (I think that’s the wing I stayed in) needs some more updating.

If comfort matters, don’t book here!
When I first walked into the room, all the curtains were open and the sun was beating into our room heating it up like a sauna. There were two AC units. I turned both of them onto high cool and they barely blew air around, never mind cool it down. There was a spring attachment on the top of the door to make it auto close as this is a regular door you would find in a house, not a metal one like in most hotels. Unbeknownst to me, if you open the door too much, the spring locks in the open position and you can’t close it unless you manually push it back...but I wouldn’t have known that. So I found out when i was running late on my way to a show and the door wouldn’t close. Luckily, they sent someone up relatively quickly. But this seems like something they either should fix or at the very least warn their patrons about. The shower was half the width of a normal tub/shower. I couldn’t lift my arms at all. Even the showers in Europe have more space. If you like comfort when showering...this is not the hotel for you. Honestly for the amount of money this room cost, (and at a discount!) I expected better. 10/10 would NOT book again.

Excellent value-incredible views
We had a wonderful stay at the Congress Hotel. The lake view room had amazing views and the food at Rafael was great. The room was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. A very good value and I highly recommend.
