Gresham Hotel Review
Overall very enjoyable, room had a musty aroma, but otherwise everything was great

Great location but major dissappointment
I booked this hotel to treat to myself to a little pampering after a 10-day road trip. I was expecting a well appointed luxurious room based on the photos on the website as well as my first impression of the lobby. Unfortunately, I was met with a very small, unimpressive room. I requested a twin room, which was too small to accommodate two pieces of luggage. I (and my friend) was constantly shuffling bags and such in order to move around the room. The lighting in both the room and bathroom were not favorable for putting on makeup, which was a major cause of frustration for two women. The bathroom was a nice size with a shower and deep bathtub and nice fluffy towels. The service in the hotel could use some improvement. At 7:30 am on Saturday morning, a very loud beeping started from the TV scaring me out of a dead sleep. I called down to the front desk and they said they sent the alarm to the television so that I would call the front desk. They needed a credit card for incidentals-why wasn’t that info taken at check-in? It was a totally inappropriate reason to send a startling alarm at 7:30 in the morning. When I shared my dissatisfaction with the front desk, I received no apology, just an unsympathetic explanation. I had several other encounters with staff where the service was subpar-not the strong point of this hotel. It was surreal in a way since I had incredible service at hotels and B&B’s I’d stayed in prior to the Gresham.

Comfortable classic Dublin hotel
Very comfortable classic hotel with attentive staff and good facilities. Two issues, both quickly resolved on report (wifi reset needed, handbasin drip leap). This hotel is classic and well-maintained, and very central to Dublin. Request: an Irish voice in the elevator please!

Passionate
The overnight front desk agent was absolutely amazing! I don't know he's name, but please acknowledge his passion. He helped my boyfriend in making a sign to pick me up from the airport... great guy! great service!!

Avoid at all costs - too noisy!
Horribly noisy room - unable to sleep due to noise from the street and the pub next door. I would never, never stay there again.
