Good but needs some cosmetic help.
The reception, bar and staff are excellent. The room is dated and definetely needs a re-fit. tables, carpets have all seen better days. The bar and staff are the real standouts. The bar is expensive compared to Thai living but to be expected with the Shangri-la tag.

The Shangri-La Hotel is a beautiful hotel. The service is excellent. The only negative issue I had was when I checked out they put extra charges that I never approved. So make sure you check out your bill carefully before you check out

Such a great experience at this hotel. We arrived early and the manager allowed us to check into our room four hours before check in time. It was also my birthday, and they went above and beyond and left a surprise cake in our hotel room. The entire staff was so welcoming and kind. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great Riverside Hotel.
Stayed for five nights, hotel in an excellent location with access to free boat shuttle services to other hotels and to shopping centres and eateries. Excellent breakfast, great views from our balcony room of the river. Well worth paying the extra money. Room was spacious, comfortable bed, clean, bottled water provided daily. Nightly entertainment, plenty of beds around pool.
