Nice Hotel with Friendly Staff
I was highly impressed with Hotel Tritone. Staff was very professional and friendly. The beds are extremely comfortable and they have a nice breakfast that is included with the stay. It is located by the Trevi Fountain and is a great spot if you're visiting for the sights.

Best location in Rome for sight seeing.
My friends and I had been traveling across Europe for three weeks and Rome was out last stop. We went off of hotel.com reviews. They were right. This was the best choice for our stay in Rome. It's right in the heart of everything. You're a two minute walk to the Trevi Fountain, 15 minute walk to the Colosseum, 10 minutes to great shopping and right off the hop on/hop off bus lines. They also have an airport car service for $45 from door to door which was so worth it. Not only was the location fabulous, but the room was clean and tidy. The breakfast had everything you could want: coffee and juices, breads and croissants, fruits, eggs and bacon. I will definitely stay here again. The only problem was the in room wifi which kept cutting in and out. There was a computer in a guest lobby where you could check email or Facebook, but when wanting to connect to family back home in our room it was hit or miss.

3 star barely
We picked this Hotel based on the reviews. They were accurate - the Hotel is centrally located, a short walk to many of the sights and easy to find. The rooms are ok, but basic, we requested a double room and go the two beds we had to push together. There was a very bad smell coming from the bathroom drains and despite repeated complaints it was never dealt with. The Hotel was full so we couldn't move until the last night but we were leaving at 3.45am so it was hardly worth it. The air conditioning and fan were not working, a technician came and banged it a few times then brought a portable fan. Then the concierge told us that the city officials had to come and certify the A/C. We were ok at night when it cooled off but I'd check before I went in July or August. Breakfast was basic but fine and the terrace was nice. We would probably not stay there again since no concessions were made for lack of ac/fan or the smell in the bathroom. We got the impression that no one really cared. We did get fantastic recommendations for dinner though from the front desk. Rome is stunning and we had a wonderful time , we may pick a less basic hotel next time.

Underwhelming, yet central with good breakfast
Room was okay. Spacious layout & bed was comfortable but the position of electrical outlets (opposite side of room from bed and without a table or stand to put stuff on) and there was smoke smell throughout rooms and hallways. There was no bathtub and the shower was a small box with a curtain that plugged the drain so the floor was wet from overflow (even with a quick rinse). Breakfast room was the nicest part of the hotel and the selection of foods and qualities were good as well. Wifi setup process was different and not convenient for the guests. Staff was friendly and helpful and were able to accommodate our group by speaking English well. Location was central to all sights (within a mile radius) we had planned and to the train station to take us to the airport (Leonardo Da Vinci - Fiumicino).

Great location, clean, simple, and right price!
Hotel Tritone was a great choice for me. It was so well located that I was able to stop by a couple of times per day to refresh, nap, etc. It is safe and clean. The price was great. I certainly recommend!
