Gramercy Park Hotel, New York
Our stay in NYC was amazing. The hotel was so-so, after reading other reviews and hoping for a wonderful experience. We had a junior suite, size-wise, very roomy. at 3:30 am, we realized the ceiling of our bathroom was leaking badly. We were given a new room, different layout, similar sizing, still not sure if we were upgraded or downgraded. We were offered no explanation, no courtesy of any sort, and barely an apology. Were charged the full price for the room, a curiosu $6 and change more than the price outlined by, and valet parking at $75/day, not the advertised $65/day on So, we made the best of our trip despite these snags. Next go-around, we'll look elsewhere for a room, and perhaps check out a different hotel search engine.

Extremely loud, but great staff and location
Staff is great, but the hotel is really loud. I got a room on the third floor (308), which is right on top of the night club. Needlessly to say, it's really hard to sleep when your bed is on top of the subwoofer until 3am. The staff was great though, I called and they tried to move me to a different room but the hotel was full. They offered to send up food, bottle of wine etc to help me sleep and were deeply apologetic. The next day, they moved me to a suite on the 7th floor which was great and extremely quiet. The staff here is great. Rooms could use an upgrade and definitely a deep clean, but the biggest negative here is how loud it is. They should not be selling rooms on the 3rd floor. I recommend they convert the entire floor to a state of the art gym.
