VIP GOLD STATUS not honored. Do not stay here whatever you do. Worst hotel in Colombia I’ve stayed in after traveling for over a month. Cold cold water. No shampoo. Wifi so slow Google map searches doesn’t work. Broken security box. Rude staff at entry with a big attitude and quick to raise their voice. Disastrous check-in process and rooms ready very late; was not ready to five even though a gold exclusive reservation with Early check-in and standard check in at 3pm. Hotel has no service training and lacks far behind the industry standard. I was so upset with the experience I wanted to leave halfway through the reservation. Only positives are pool with nice view and delicious breakfast.

The staff was nice, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. No VIP treatment. The room was small with partial view. Wifi was the worse I have seen. Waited until 4pm to get our room. Pool closes too early, like 6 or 7pm. Water in pool was not clear.

The only thing good about this hotel is the location. We rent a suite with hot water that we did not have for 5 nights out of 6 of our whole reservations, when we ask why the hotel did not have hot water the front desk basically lied to us saying that no property have hot water (this was not our first time in San Andres so we know this was a lie). The water pressure was a total joke, good luck showering with a drip of water. The toilet, of course, was also not working. On the first day, no water pressure and no water on the toilet. The second day after complaining several times we get the toilet fixed, still no water pressure. On the third day again complained of not being able to have a decent shower in one of the supposed best hotels on the island, front desk mentioned that they will communicate again to management. On the four day, not only we still didn't have pressure, but at the time we came back from the beach, there was no water at all at the property. On the Fifth day, I basically needed to wait at the front desk until I have the maintenance management Jhon Morales come and fix the freaking shower. We basically spend 5 days of our 6-day vacation complaining about a basic thing for what the hotel management did nothing and did not even show their face. If you want to get a scam stay here, if you want a real vacation stay in any other property the Arena Blanca hotel is beside the Samawi, is preferable to check that out instead of this property without descent service.

It was OK, bit WAY overpriced for what you get. I really felt violated paying what i did. No hot water and the sheets and pillow cases are visibly dirty. I saw some other reviews about rude staff. For me, only 2 were super rude, everyone else was helpful or at least tried. Breakfast itself was good, music at breakfast was depressing for the most part. Overall i would not go back and I would not recommend unless the got some cleaninng products, new sheets, and a hot water tank.
