Very Good 8.0
surprisingly good experience
The hotel is conveniently located literally a hop skip & jump From the main train station. Do not let the proximity to the station be an issue because the walls are sound proof and the area is safe. Check in: A very friendly and professional gentleman did the check in with in a few min. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade to a junior suit which helped make it even a more comforting experience. Breakfast: an open area with ample seating. I would have liked a bit of added variety but it was good and the servers were very attentive. Room: spacious, the coffee maker and a hot kettle are always a plus anywhere! Bathroom: the towels are a old and need to be changed. Amenities need to live up to the hotels status. Close to ALMOST everything. I would definitely stay here again.

Poor 2.0
My 3 kids (aged 12,9 and 7) and I joined my husband for his medical conference in Bologna. I booked a “family room” through Expedia well in advance. I made sure that there was a 24 hour cancellation policy since I had not finalized some of our travel dates. I called the hotel within the 24 hour cancellation period to ask if we could arrive a day later. I was told by Chiara, the reservations agent, that the hotel could modify the reservation but needed an email from Expedia. I spent the rest of the day on the phone with the hotel and Expedia. Despite what I was told, the hotel insisted on charging us for the one night. I didn’t want to lose that money so we changed plans and arrived in Bologna the next morning only to be taken advantage of again. The front desk demanded we get a second room because only 4 people are allowed to be in a room. After half an hour of heated discussion, failed attempts to secure another hotel rooom in the area and a phone call with Expedia, we were forced to get a second room for my 7 year old! In all of this commotion, my husband missed the first part of his meeting, the only reason why we stopped in Bologna. This hotel bills itself as a luxury hotel but the only thing luxurious is the price. For €275, you will get a large but dated room, worn furniture and no iron! That’s right, it’s against hotel policy to have irons in the rooms. If you need something ironed, you have to pay for their laundry service.

Good 6.0
The AC in the room was terrible. The room was very warm even though the AC was set to max air flow and lowest temperature setting possible. Everything else was fine but we were disappointed with the AC. This was the fourth hotel during our trip and although the other cities were hotter and more humid, they were all great. The staff explained that the AC was working normal. Unfortunately, it was pretty warm in the room and you can barely feel the air flowing out even though it was set at 3 which is the highest. They said the temperature was 20 Celsius but it was actually closer to 30 using my temp sensor which is pretty accurate. The lobby and restaurant were cool so our problem was just with the room. The staff members were nice but we didn’t get offered to change rooms probably because they didn’t think there is a problem.

Exceptional 10.0
Convenient and large rooms
We stayed here for a brief stopover in Bologna. This room was actually the largest hotel room I have ever had in Italy! The room was large and clean. We loved it. The gym in the building is also nice. The a/c worked well. The hotel is right in front of the train station and a short 5/10 minute walk into the historic center. Unfortunately, the staff was rude to us upon check in, later questions at the front desk, and a phone call asking when check-out was. However, we liked this hotel and it was the perfect spot for our short stay. We would stay here again and we recommend it to others!

Exceptional 10.0
Nice hotel in Bologna
I recently stayed at this hotel, and I can mostly say good things about it.: - Perfect location, close to the station and the aerobus. You can do day tours to a lot of places in Italy within 1 hour. This hotel is a perfect base to spend 1 week in Italy. - Breakfast was delicious with lots of home made products. Coffee is made by the waiters and bring to the table to you. - Rooms were clean and big, and they are sound-proofed. -This hotel looks more like a 5* or 4* high than a 4* star hotel. Here are the things I did not like it: - My rooms was not renovated and all the photos on Expedia show renovated rooms (wood floor), this should be specified, and this rooms should be sold cheaper. - Safe box is too small, and my small laptop could not fit in there. I will cenrtainly go back to this hotel, as I enjoyed my stay, but I would ask for a renovated room next time.
