Fair 4.0
Really disappointing.
I was really disappointed with this hotel. It doesn’t feel or look like a 4-star hotel. The place really needs updates. From the images, the rooms look fresh and clean and in person, the old wood floors creek, the window AC is old with no digital setting so, it turns on and off all night. I had to run the AC/fan to remove the stale, stuffy smell from the room and to buffer the insane drilling that went from 9 PM-3:30 AM (this is not a joke). I asked about it the next morning, since I was there for early meetings and was given earplugs and very little remorse. When I asked if I could have a candle or something to reduce the haunted house smell, they suggested I open a window..again, with no apology or offer to provide a solution. Other than offering someone to come open my window for me- which I obviously politely declined.

Poor 2.0
Over valued hotel has nothing to offer, very bad condition inside the bedroom, terribly small bathroom has not space to put anything you need to use in the bathroom.

We arrived at the Hotel to check in at 3:0om ( check in time) Our rooms weren’t ready...said to come back in an hour. Upon return we were able to check in but they had my 85 yr old mother on another floor . We ordered the rooms together so we could be near her . Rooms look nothing like the photos in theirs website. Unbelievably old and rundown and way over due for a remodel. Hot water barely worked...the pipes made a loud noise when the hot water did come on. Rooms extremely small..and I got stuck in the elevator because our room key stopped working and we couldn’t access our floor. We were there for our daughters wedding and it really put a damper on everything!! Not to mention $250.00 at night +fees!! Most definitely would not recommend or stay here again . #extremelydisappointed

Exceptional 10.0
Great hotel in Union Square
Hotel G was great! It's in a great location with several restaurants and bars in the same block as well as a pharmacy across the street. The staff were very helpful with any question we had about the area. The room was impeccably clean but I found the bed to be a bit uncomfortable (this is bc I sleep on a memory foam bed at home and this was a spring mattress). Great water pressure in the shower and we were glad to have the air conditioner bc we are from the South and very used to sleeping with AC. The one and only negative I can say about it is that the rooms are not sound proof, LOL. It is an old, historic building so I expected this and brought my earplugs to sleep in so I had no trouble but my guy woke up during the night because of hallway noise and noise from surrounding rooms. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!! Oh, also be aware you might find the room on the small side if you are accustomed to staying in suites or other brand name hotels with larger rooms. But I don't mind a small room.
