    Hooting monkeys
Great place to stay. We opt for the upgrade in order to stay away from the construction and never heard a thing. We had a great room with wrap around windows looking out on Diamondhead and the ocean. Beautiful! We were right across from the zoo and loved hearing the hooting of the moneys in the morning. One block from ocean and a nice beach a bit removed fron the crowds at Waikiki. Would stay again.

This place is under construction which I didn't know when booking. My room was old, dirty and next to the room they were now using as the employees breakroom so the door was opening and slamming all night long. I work up to construction works outside my bedroom window as my room was right by where they gathered in the morning. But was frostedme the most was the fact that they still charged you a resort fee per person even though the pool, bar, restuarant, gym, business center, coffee shop and lobby were all closed! Complete garbage. The wallpaper was peeling off all the walls, there was the previous guests hair in the shower and a few of my window paints had been replaced with clear glass so other guests could pear in my window. I did finally have to say something, as I was there for work and they changed my room which was a big improvement the last night so I could finally get some sleep.

I would never stay here again. All the belhops were great guys, but the place was under remodel so that meant no pool, no hot tub, no cocktail bar, and no restaurant. They never bothered to tell us this. Of course they never would refund our deposit or discount their price for the things we didn't get. If they had offered us a refund for our deposit so we could find a place that had the things we came on vacation for,pool,etc.., we'd have been cool with that. I could never recommend this place after our stay.

    Rather disappointing.
Hotel was under reconstruction, but this wasn't clear when I booked it ... noise was unbearable between 8:30 and 4:30. Windows were all louvres, so street noise was constantly present. Also, services were all chargeable, such as parking, where hotels in other parts of the country were free.

I’d stay here again after the construction is done
For the price and the area, it’s great. Thy are doing construction and they are very upfront and honest about it which is amazing. The stunning view from the deck isn’t available because the cafe is closed for renovation. No gym. No pool. Our city room view was cute and we had a cute balcony. They have a partnership with Hyatt Place around the corner to use their pool but not the gym and there are no other gyms around the area. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
