This is my favorite place to stay in Honolulu

    Exceptional 10.0
    Good hotel , conveniently located
Stayed at the ocean view suite and wasnt disappointed , amazing views of the ocean and the diamond head. Location is perfect if you are looking to spend most of your time in Waikiki. Everyone on the staff we interacted seemed super nice. Would recommend.

    Very Good 8.0
    Pleasant place
Refurbished in a modern and minimalist Style, the hotel is clean and comfortable but does not have some of the comfy furniture for lounging in your room. The lobby has great lounge furniture and soft breezes. The deck also is nice for sitting by the pool.

    Poor 2.0
    Deceptive Advertising
I booked an Ocean View room here, but when I arrived it appears they had overbooked and none were available. So, they gave me a Hill View room, but rather than admit the mistake and try to somehow make it up, they claimed it was an Ocean View room because if you went out and stood at the very edge of the balcony you could see the ocean. It was totally ridiculous, and they were rude and unfriendly, claiming that somehow my eyes were deceiving me and that the very obvious view of the hill was actually a view of the ocean. And that they had 'classified this as an Ocean View room" so no problem. Despite the fact that anyone with eyes could tell the difference. I eventually was too tired to fight or find another hotel for a fairly short trip and accepted the room, even though I had paid more specifically to have the premium room. Beyond that the staff were unfriendly, the service shoddy, the recent renovation not that appealing, and the location pretty poor. After spending a few days in Waikiki and seeing some of the other properties, I think we could easily have done better for the rate we paid. And probably with much less hassle and annoyance. My recommendation -- don't book this hotel!

    Exceptional 10.0
Great location for beach and mountain access
Beautiful recent restoration, perfect location 1 min from the beach, at the end of Waikiki. This minimized the noise and allowed for less traffic. The amenities are great including the coffee shop, surf shop, and the 3rd floor pool/bar/restaurant. Room was small but comfortable. I would definitely consider QK again as it presents a great balance of location to the beach and easy access to roads to get in the Jeep and head out to hiking away from the city.
