Wonderful place to stay
Very caring, honest, helpful staff and clean hotel. The hotel was in walking distance to several restaurants and downtown New Orleans. Valet did a great job with our car, as well

Family adventure
My daughter-in-law and I took 3 grandchildren for a quick 2 day trip to New Orleans. The Hyatt was the perfect hotel. It was close to everything and was so quiet, clean and safe. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in New Orleans.

Worst vacation ever!!!!
My stay was absolutely awful! Staff were very rude! Before we even to to the hotel I called to ask what side do we go on to valet the car because I never been there before and I didn't know and I heard the other lady say to the staff member "well she must be lost and confused" in a very rude and nasty tone! The supervisors was rude, our shower didn't even work right! Awful stay! We didn't even finish the stay we checked out first thing in the morning. We were suppose to stay July 4th-7th we got there at like 5pm on the 4th and checked out at 9:30am on the 5th. Felt so unsafe. The smell was awful like hot garbage and sewer water! Bums standing on every corner begging for money and blocking the atm machines. I got so sick and threw up when we tried to walk down bourbon street because the smell got the best of me. The whole town is filthy! So disgusting! Even our hotel was dirty and hot and had a musky feel. Hated every second of it

the hotel's name is not worth the booking
The first room was okay. However, the hotel does not specify that the balcony is shared, meaning we got to watch the people in the room next to us sit half naked on the balcony and take all of the furniture. The toilet was falling apart, drawers were broken and the sink stopper was broken. We also had no cold water. The phone didn't work and the remote/tv didn't work half the time either. You will also not get any sleep if your room faces any of the streets. We were given a new room, assured that the problems wouldn't follow. All we were given for our problems was a free breakfast at the already overpriced/mediocre restaurant. You can order "overnight" room service but only if "overnight" means before 10 pm/after 6 am. The cold water was lukewarm at best and the shower still burned. So our water problem did in fact follow us after being assured it wouldn't. The icing on the cake was when we went to print our boarding passes. They offer complimentary printing and internet usage for boarding passes, but the webpage for the airline we were using wasn't working and hadn't been for a few days. I had to pay to use the internet in order to access the site and print the pass. When voicing this issue they apparently knew about this problem, but decided not to notify people who needed to access that site. They offered to do nothing helpful and told us we had to take the issue up with the outside company. I'm expecting better than a shrug and free breakfast for problems this massive.
