Invasion of Privacy at Hyatt Centric NOLA ☹️
I was recently a guest at your hotel from 5/31/19-6/3/19. I reserved a king bed, balcony room at the Hyatt Centric in the French quarter, New Orleans. Upon arrival, on the evening of 5/31, the room reserved was not available; however, I was accommodated with a double bed, balcony room. On 6/2/19, In the late morning, I requested cleaning service. Upon return to my room, I realized that I did not receive service on that day. Nevertheless, I was still overall pleased with the hotel. Unfortunately, I experienced an unsettling situation in the middle of the night on 6/2/19. While my guest and I were sleeping, we were awakened to two hotel employees walking into our room! No one called our room or knocked on our door prior to entering. After this incident, my guest called the front desk and was informed by the supervisor/manager, John, that it was a mistake. He stated that he made a mistake with the reservations. This was truly an invasion of privacy. It had a negative impact on our mental state that night and for the rest of our stay. This is not what any guest should experience during vacation. I wanted to bring this to the attention of management so that this will never happen to any other guest. There should be some type of protocol in place so that, at the minimum, hotel staff would knock on the room doors prior to entering. As a customer, I feel that this was a service failure on the part of Hyatt. This should NOT have happened!

Good stay in NOLA
The location of this hotel is perfect. So close and within walking distance to everything but a block or so removed from Bourbon that it’s still quiet enough to sleep and relax. Overall the hotel was wonderful and the staff was great. I do think that the cleaning services could be improved though and there should be more attention to detail in regards to cleanliness. But overall a really good stay and would recommend the hotel to others visiting NOLA.

The hotel was very nice and in a great location. We had a room with a Bourbon Street balcony which we loved. Unfortunately, because of the heavy rains, a section of the carpet was soaked and at times, the water leaked from the ceiling. We notifed the front desk as soon as we arrived. They immediately sent a crew up to see what was going on. They offered us another room but they only had courtyard balconies. The was no way we were leaving Bourbon St. So we stayed in the room and they made us as comfortable as possible. A fan was bought up to the room, extra towels, bottles of wine, cheese plates and a discount for one of our nights. From the manger down to the service staff, we were constantly checked on to make sure we were still okay to stay in the room or we were offered another room. I would definitely stay there again..
