Newlyweds invade NOLA
We stayed at the Hyatt Centric French Quarter for our honeymoon. I got a really awesome deal through and was so excited to visit New Orleans, again! From the moment we arrived I was so pleased with our choice! The hotel is beautiful, clean, and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect as it's steps from Canal Street and Bourbon Street. We stayed on the Dauphine side of the building so we didn't hear the noise from Bourbon Street, which was the best decision considering we're "old folks" now! Our room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable that I didn't even want to return home to our old bed... The bathroom was exceptionally clean which was very important to me. Housekeeping kept the room clean and made sure we had fresh towels and linens every day. My only suggestion is to buy a case of water since bottles of water in the room are $4 each. We bought a case and donated what was left to the staff when we checked out. We'll definitely be returning to the French Quarter and will only be staying at the Hyatt Centric!

Superb Hotel, great room and service!!
This hotel was amazing!! I booked through hotels.Com and usually expect not the best room however upon check in I asked for room with a balcony and was told that's not possible but I think you will be pleased with your room....was I ever!! Check in was literally less than five minutes, very friendly, room was on second floor. It was HUGE, nice comfortable true king size bed (tall husband), large couch with lounger on it, table, fridge, coffee, nice blow dryer not the tiny usual ones right there. French doors opened out onto pool deck (awesome because I'm a smoker) bar and lots of different patio furniture and loungers. The bathroom was very large and nicely appointed. Shower/tub was older but clean and the room was so large and comfortable. The room service and food was incredible, cheaper than in the local restaurants. Would call, order breakfast and within 10 minutes it was there and delicious. Dinner one night was quick, hot and very good, had the Gumbo. I can see if you were on the Bourbon Street side it would be loud due to the bucket drumming (banging) that takes place. Spent a few evenings just chilling outside on the pool deck, drinking beers and listening to the sounds. Lots of shopping, food and entertainment about 20ft from Bourbon Street right on Canal Street with great access to anything. Walked to car rental company to use a car for the day. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again on our next trip to The Big Easy!!!

Convienent Placement.
Hotel close to Canal Street allowed for great public transportation. All day transit pass only $3. Went to Aquarium, Zoo French Market Garden District. Concierge very helpful in giving Transpo directions as well as booking 2 tours. Walgreens and CVS nearby. Deanies Seafood restaurant across street was great. Bourbon Street. 1 block south.
