very nice breakfast clean hotel bathroom equipment broken/not working propertly; shower and bath tub switch not working
Well located next to the bus lines which makes it easy to get around town. It’s an older building which could probably use a little facelift. The staff was nice room is clean. It wasn’t the Ritz Carlton but it was nice
I didn’t like anything big property but poor maintenance
Old facility, not well kept. Staff not friendly. Food just Ok. The only positive was the gym (although it's an outside building so you will have to face the weather-rain- on your way there), it had good equipment.
The breakfast was horrible. The most boring and lousy choice of food. Highlight was Concierge Josef was world class.
The location was near to the bus station but little bit far from the center
Desk staff were excellent but housecleaning staff were less attentive to details.
Hotel is out of town, but accessible by tram to Old Town, Palace area, and most other sights of Prague. Concierge, Josef, is most helpful with suggestions and reservations.
Our shuttle driver Paul drove us to the Hotel International, our home for the next eleven days. It was built in the Soviet era and is an example of socialist realism architecture. Supposedly it’s a copy of a hotel in Moscow. It’s not in the city center or “Old Town” area but on the west side of the Vltava (Moldau) River and not even on most city maps. It appears to be past it’s prime as a luxury hotel but apparently survives by catering to tour groups. The desk service people were very nice, despite our early arrival and attentive to our needs. Somehow, they’d assigned us to two rooms, but this was fixed. Our room was ready but not on an upper floor as requested. We were told these were unavailable. Our room is an “executive” style room, which I’d requested. Anyhow, we settled into our room and then began to explore. We were concerned that it would be difficult to get to the city center and old town area, but the desk staff showed us how we could take one tram line and be downtown in ten minutes. They said we wouldn’t have to pay since we were over seventy. The also directed us to the nearest non-commercial ATM machine. Then we hopped on the #18 tram and were downtown in minutes. We explored around the area below Castle Hill along both sides of the River and the Rudolfinum (Philharmonic Hall). Then we got on the #18 tram which took us back to the hotel.
Although it was a bit "off the beaten track," this was a very nice place to stay! Awesome breakfasts; clean and comfy rooms.
