About Le Meridien Etoile, Paris

Chic, arty hotel near the Arc de Triomphe

Elegance near the Arc
Art and interior style define Le Méridien Etoile, across from the Palais de Congrès convention center and a 10-minute walk from famed Arc de Triomphe. You can hop on the metro at Porte Maillot – or if you're driving, pop straight onto the Périphérique ring road.

Unlock Art
You can work up a sweat at the Club Med Gym, across from the hotel. If it's your soul that needs a boost, hop on the metro to Palais de Tokyo, which showcases contemporary Parisian art. You can get free entry to this and other museums with the "Unlock Art" pass in your room.

Contemporary cuisine
The contemporary menu of restaurant Ma Chère & Tendre features local ingredients in innovative French culinary creations. If burgers and beer are more your thing, hit the hotel's Jazz Club, which also has a sushi bar and, of course, live music. Spa services, including massages (advanced reservation needed), are perfect to unwind, while free WiFi keeps you connected.

Fresh pops of color
Recent renovations have guests buzzing about the decor, which is bright white punctuated by pops of bold green, purple, and red in common areas. Rooms are more demure, with clean, classic colors. All guestrooms have free WiFi and TVs, with 24/7 room service a phone call away.

Was good. Meeting room booking was difficult and very expensive

Decent but not great
My room was not ready until after 3pm. Room was clean but bolt broken and lighting very dark. Staff was very polite.

Nice, with a few little downsides
Plus: clean, comfortable, busy hotel. Minus: terrible breakfast food, paid more for room than friend who met us there, nice location— but kind of tome consuming going to popular tourist destinations. Leon’s next door was a great place for mussels and fries...

Room was awesome. Location was awesome. People were doubly awesome.....but two things were not. 1 - someone was smoking in the room next to me on a non-smoking floor, but they wanted me to move. That's not cool. The smoker should have been kicked out of his room. 2 - The key kept de-activating. Just a little bit inconvenient. Otherwise -- FANTASTIC STAY!

Great hotel but pricey surroundings
The stay was great. Food was a little expensive in the hotel, but still it deserves its rating. The location is within the tour area and near the metro. The surrounding area is prettty expensive which is a tourist area. Restaurants are not the best, which are either a chain or too expensive. You can find better east or Pigalle. As a runner, I think it is connected to great run routes. You can go west to run in Bois de Boulogne park or run east towards Sacre Coeur Cathedral for some hill workout. As for the hotel itself, rooms are great except I hate the high tub. It was difficult to exit the tub after showering. However, it is a hot tub. The restaurant in the hotel is as pricey as outside and the quality does not impress me. Overall, I think it is good.
