Run down Hotel, no service at all. It looks like you are staying in a cheap Motel. Everything is old and falling apart.

The place has a cheap, shabby, run down feel. Like someplace. You expect a 4 star hotel to have bellmen to help with your bags. Park Lane does not, which sucks if you have an injury or disability. As for the room - the place is supposedly non-smoking (at least my room was), yet there were cigarette burns all over. "City View" rooms should be renamed "Alley View". The furniture was cheap and tacky looking, like someone got an idea of "rich people" furniture from a 1920s movie and then bought the cheapest, light weight stuff they could find that looked kind of like that. Everything, from the door to the carpet to the furniture looked worn. The wait at check in for the "valet parking" was slightly over a half hour. On check out they don't bring your car around or even have it ready at the garage; you have to lug your bags around the block to the garage and wait in the cold for them to bring it up. The restaurant and bar was closed. According to the front desk it was due to COVID. The kitchen was also closed, again supposedly due to COVID, so I couldn't order room service. Despite COVID there were plenty of restaurants and food trucks in the area that were open, so it wasn't a huge problem, just a nuisance. In general the place has a sad feel to it, like a hotel that's seen better days and is now one stop from hosting homeless people for the City. The only redeeming quality it had was price.

Because of renovation was impossible to sleep after 9am. I changed to other room but helped a little. The first room the carpet was stained, have no mini fridge. The other room was better but when I try to take shower on the second day of my stay: no water in the bathroom! Out of 4 days, I can not save one nice day. If someone asked me I will never indicate this hotel. Every time that I try to reach by phone the concierge, front desk or personal help I have to leave a message because only one person was doing all those jobs.

It was very dirty in bath room. I found hairs and even a small plastic bag in the bath tub. It seems that no one cleans up the basin and a tub. It was so disappointed. More, the tables were not clean. I had to wipe again with my wet tissues. I am not sure that I will come back again.

The bathrooms were extremely dirty and had hair from the previous guests in the bath tub. During a time like this, I would expect exceptional cleanliness and that was not the case. Otherwise, the hotel is a great location .

This was my first time at The Park Lane. I needed a new home-away-from-home in NYC, now that The Roosevelt has closed. I had been staying there for 11 years. I loved The Park Lane right away. The room is nice, and comfortable. I splurged on a park view, and am ruined forever. There are on-site restauarants, but closed due to Covid now. There are plenty of food options within easy walking distance, and I cannot wait to try them all. Central Park is just across the street, for a morning, mid-day, or evening stroll. There are subway stops handy, but I did not research much, as I am not going underground during Covid. I've already booked my next stay. I can't wait!
