The hotel was very clean and nice. The restaurant was good and seemed to draw a great crowd. The room was spacious but there was no fridge or air conditioning controls. If I would have called the front desk I could have gotten a mini fridge but it seemed like too much of a hassle. The room was a little warm and would have liked to change the temp but we couldn't. Reception said they would send up a fan if we would like. The price was great but the hotel wasn't in center city. I actually enjoyed that as the surrounding area was quiet at night. The train was less than a 5 min walk which took us directly into city center. When headed to the airport the bus was directly across the street and cost us $8 euro. It took less than 30 min however, we left early in the morning around 6 am. Overall I would recommend this hotel as we really enjoyed our stay.

Great surprise at trip's end!
Spent three nights at end of tour to further enjoy Dublin. Loved the hotel. In spite of size felt cozy and staff were great. Dart enabled us to take day trip to Howth very conveniently. Would definitely stay at Ballsbridge Ina future trip.

Adequate with a decent breakfast buffet
Overall our stay was fine but I was disappointed in the customer service for what was a fairly expensive hotel. We needed items such as travel plug adapters and, while they had a vending machine with the adapters available, the machine was out of service and the hotel didn't have any way to help other than suggesting I go to a store. They also didn't have extra video cables - many do, particularly those that are large like this and seem to cater to businesses. I also was surprised there was no air conditioner in the room so sleeping was a bit of a challenge with the warm, humid weather. The breakfast buffet was decent but the service was puzzling along with the opening hours. For example, on the day we left we arranged to skip hotel breakfast because the hours were too late to work with our taxi to the airport. Then, when we went down to get the taxi, it was clear plenty of people were eating well ahead of the opening time.

Great hotel and location
Historic hotel located in a safe neighborhood, close (5-7 min. walk) to some very good restaurants, including Roly's. Old fashioned design of hotel room and furniture - cozy and welcoming. Hotel staff were friendly and professional - no problems checking in or out. On-site pub was a pleasant site for a nightcap. Sadly, this hotel is going to be demolished in two years to make way for retail and condo projects. (:
