Micala made our stay very nice. She went beyond being helpful and friendly!! Everyone else were unfriendly. The condition of the place is old but comfortable. There are no dishes, pans, or silverware in the kitchen.

Once in awhile, once is enough.
The view was fantastic, the beach close and very nice. The refrigerator and a/c worked great. TV good selection of sports. Good lighting in kitchen - not so much in other rooms. Need a few extension cords to plug in lights. Blinds broken. Sink clogged. Toilet ran wasting water. You could flush and have it run continuously, or flush by hand, then push down the flapper and not have the noise. After two days of not being fixed, we chose to keep the lid off and do it ourselves. Sink was still clogged after five days. Balcony door extremely hard to open. We asked about changing rooms before we had everything in the room. Told none available. It didn't seem like it was ever full, but they may have meant no free Oceanview rooms. Sign at pool says to shower before entering. There is no shower. Just a faucet when leaving the beach. Maintenance guys did a great job of keeping sand cleaned off surfaces around areas. Housekeeping supplied fresh towels whenever you put dirty ones in basket by door. No housewares in kitchen area, but some available at front desk. I realize staff is in short supply and that the few there seem to be working long hours, but . . . We have booked an additional week at the beach, but somewhere else. The Indian Rocks and Redington Beaches are great. Parking was not an issue anywhere. If you enjoy roughing it, Sandalwood would be great.

Worst Hotel Experience Ever in That Area
It was OK. Staff was rude and the room was dirty. It needs major work and much better cleaning. I would not go back. The only positive was the location right on the beach.

Our favorite beach hotel
This is our 3rd year in a row that we’ve stayed here. The rooms are huge and comfortable. Plenty of room for a family. The beach is 15 steps from your porch or balcony and the staff is helpful & accommodating
