Excellent hotel
The Taj was a wonderful hotel which was close to so many area attractions. The room was beautiful and exceptionally clean. Lindsey the bell captain was the best, thank you for your service!

Posh hotel, friendly staff, fantastic views
My friends and I planned a day in Boston. We decided on this hotel based on the central location and easy access to the trains. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only issues I had were that the service at breakfast was a bit slow and it took a bit to get extra towels that I had requested. I understand the breakfast thing, everything is made fresh and as you order, but it took over an hour for them to bring me extra towels that I requested. My friends thought it was strange how attentive the staff was, that they come to the room several times to make sure you have all of your needs met, but I explained that that service is what you are paying for with the room. They want to make sure you want for nothing. The view from the rooms was phenomenal. We stayed on the 9th floor and two rooms had views of the park, one had a view of the stores across Newbury St. I would definitely stay there again.

☹️
Our stay was fine until our last day when the valet left our suitcase on the street. They were not willing to accommodate us until we pushed them extremely hard. I felt that there were communication issues also.

What happened to the TAJ??!
Way too many problems for “5star” 1) No top sheet on the bed. 2) Took 45 min to have a sheet brought up. 3) No turndown service leaving you with the same wet towels from the night before. 4) Outrageously priced “facilities fee” covering next to nothing including running out of breakfast buns and things complimentary at “lesser” hotels. 5) Exhorbitantly priced parking at more than $50 nightly. 6) Antiquated small bathrooms begging for renovation. 7) Except for location not worth the price.
