Clean. Spacious (bedroom and bathroom, both). The door did not close completely without extra force, which concerned me, security-wise. The thermostat in our room did not work, so our only 2 options were “Off” which meant stuffy, or “On” which meant non-stop A/C cranking. It was freeeeezing.

The place: very nice - The staff: meh
The place itself was lovely. I think it's pretty new. If that is the case, and I hope it is the case, then the staff still needs some working in. It seems to be the Spirit Airlines of Boutique Hotels. $50 charge for early check-in for a room that is clean, ready and waiting for your arrival at 4pm...$3 for a cup of coffee from the instant coffee maker in there lobby... you get the idea. Parking in any city is problematic at best, but the confusion of where and how long to park was unnecessary. There is apparently a day rate and an overnight rate. Even if you are a guest, even if you show up a bit early. It is first come first serve, but can only accommodate some size vehicles. Apparently a Jeep Commander is too big. But there is sometimes off street parking. If you're confused and/or baffled, welcome to a difficult 20 minute "conversation" with a front desk staff member. The room was very nice. Clean. Comfortable bed. Great location, walking distance to the Kennedy Center (the main reason we chose it)

Overall, the hotel is good. Only two minor problems. TV did not work the first night. Housekeeping did not clean room after first night even after I specifically asked front desk to remind housekeeping. Otherwise, stay was good.
