It is a nice hotel. Room only. The continental breakfast was OK and about 15 euros. It was a tidy room with a comfortable bed and a good shower. There was a bar where you could drink before going out. My limited experience of German hotels, they are typically expensive, with city tax to pay of about 6 euros a night. The location is about 4 miles from Dortmund Centre, but there was a train stop about 10 minutes walk away. There was also an excellent buffet restaurant very near the hotel, called Memoriez, which I would go back to. It is very important you have the exact name of the hotel as there are several Ibis hotels within 10 miles of each other. Ibis Styles, Ibis Budget, plus this one, all with very similar names. As we were directed to the wrong hotel initially. I probably would look for somewhere more central if I do come back. But the location was OK and the train service was good and fairly easy to follow.

Great service, expensive parking.
Great service from staff. Rooms a little worn, but still fine for a night's sleep. Let down was €10 for parking. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so really don't know why parking is that expensive!

NOT Pet friendly and no friendly staff
Not pet friendly hotel at ALL. The first thing you see when getting the to the hotel are signs no dogs allowed to step on the grass and the staff looks miserable and not very service minded. One of the staff members even followed me and my dogs on two different occasions to see and make sure they didn't wee on the hotel property. And one of my females wee outside of the hotel on a small grass pit and he made a big fuzz about it. They should remove the pet friendly classification. They charge dog fees but ........
