Hotel Giulio Cesare, Rome
Comfortable European Style Rooms
The hotel is typical European style. Smaller, older rooms with fewer amenities than a typical American hotel. Free breakfast buffet was included in room rate. The room was comfortable, the air conditioning worked, water pressure was good, bed was cozy. We asked the front desk to watch our luggage until it was time to travel to the airport, and they complied, but the luggage was just left sitting on the floor by the front desk for several hours. It was not locked up or placed somewhere secure, which was worrying.

Quiet and pleasant hotel close to central Rome
The hotel is situated close to Piazza Popolo and to the downtown Rome, however it is across the Tiber river in a quiet neighborhood. We were lucky to be able to find parking for our car just outside of the hotel twice. The hotel also has its own small parking lot which is often full. Breakfast was great. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The hotel was altogether very pleasant and it is recommended for those who want to stay close to the center of Rome, yet out of the hectic atmosphere of downtown.

The desk person that checked us in needs a personality. We almost went somewhere else thanks to her.

Great room near Piazza del popolo.
Honestly a great room for the price. A couple of things for those who may prioritize specific things. 1. The beds are very firm. Not a problem for me but I could see others not liking that. 2. The showers use a folding glass panel. My wife wasn't digging that because of the splashing but not a problem for me (or once she figured it out better). Service and cleanliness were top notch.
