Hotel Giulio Cesare, Rome
Quiet and pleasant hotel close to central Rome
The hotel is situated close to Piazza Popolo and to the downtown Rome, however it is across the Tiber river in a quiet neighborhood. We were lucky to be able to find parking for our car just outside of the hotel twice. The hotel also has its own small parking lot which is often full. Breakfast was great. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. The hotel was altogether very pleasant and it is recommended for those who want to stay close to the center of Rome, yet out of the hectic atmosphere of downtown.

The desk person that checked us in needs a personality. We almost went somewhere else thanks to her.

Great room near Piazza del popolo.
Honestly a great room for the price. A couple of things for those who may prioritize specific things. 1. The beds are very firm. Not a problem for me but I could see others not liking that. 2. The showers use a folding glass panel. My wife wasn't digging that because of the splashing but not a problem for me (or once she figured it out better). Service and cleanliness were top notch.

Hotel Giulio Cesare, Rome
It is a traditional European hotel that has a bed and breakfast feel. If you want a traditional hotel with great staff and great service this is a good option. The room was very clean and the hotel is within walking distance of the lepanto metro station. There are also some casual restaurants and pizzareas near by. The only down side is the size of the bathroom and bathtub. They are very small. If you are a large person the bathroom will be uncomfortable.
