Not recommended.
Awful first room with the AC not working for the entire time. We asked multiple times to switch rooms the first day but they made us wait until the next day to switch. The only positive thing was the breakfast staff. I don’t recommend the hotel to other tourists.

Rear building requires updating.
No hot water in the morning, luke warm at best and was told that was the best they could do given the hotel was full. The room, located in the rear building, was tired and the bathroom old, dirty and need of replacement. Breakfast was very good. This was my second stay at this hotel.

Old-school elegance with a bit of wear in the accommodations showing here and there. Great service, centrally located, American-style spread for breakfast. Recommended.

Great hotel
It is a wonderful hotel! It's very convenient to tourist spots. The room is pleasant and clean. They have a resting area, beautiful garden in the first and the 5th floor. The staff are very friendly, helpful and nice. The breakfast is amazing. Not a coffee drinker, my favorite is their hot chocolate made by Mateo. He is very hospitable and makes the best chocolate. I will surely recommend this hotel to my friends, family and people I work with.

Terrible Hotel
They first gave us a room in an annexed old dark house which we had to climb up and down the stairs in order to get into the room despite telling them that we were in Rome for my birthday. After complaining about the room and stairs we were told that there is no empty room and they have to ask some one to give us their room and it will take a long time, but after 5 minuets they told us our room is ready. This room was in OK condition, but unfortunately we saw ants on our bed and on the floor. We told the reception about the ants and the gentleman said there shouldn’t be any ants on the 3rd floor and he sent someone to change the sheets and wanted to spray the room at 10 PM, but I refused because I didn’t want to inhale the chemicals all night. The next day I went to the reception and asked another gentleman if he can do anything about the ants; to my surprise he said it is normal to have ants in the rooms and he said he will send someone to our room to spray it with Raid. I don’t know what they did but we got some rashes in this hotel during our three night stay. I do not recommend this hotel at all. Avoid this hotel even if you have to pay extra for a cleaner hotel. Thank you for ruining my birthday Hotel Giulio Cesar.
