Fair value and a pool.
I went for a couple of days break and chose the hotel for the way the hotel looks on the pictures and the swimming, especially the garden looks lovely. The town Shanklin is very dissapointing sadly, the hotel is attractive although much smaller than it looks on the photos. I enjoyed the views and the proximity to the coast and the hotel is acceptable value. The staff were friendly but I wasn't overly impressed with the customer service manner which I found indifferent.

A lovely place to stay
Fernbank is exceptional. The room was clean and bright and everyone was very friendly and helpful. We used the indoor pool which is a very good size there was a wide choice for breakfast which was lovely. It is only a short walk to the centre of Shanklin. I would recommend Fernbank to everyone

The perfect 5 star holiday
A wonderful stay and a complete gem. The room and setting were perfect, with gardens to fully relax in and a great indoor swimming pool. And then the owners and staff are totally 5 star.....they help you with pleasure and a genuine smile on their faces....and the afternoon tea is a real treat...and that's following a tasty breakfast!! Seriously, look no further than Fernbank.

Beautiful 4 day island life getaway
Fernbank was a welcoming and superb location. Walking distance from the town and some amazing pubs in Shanklin. Great breakfast to start our day before road-tripping around the island and a lovely quiet bar for a nightcap. And for those rainy days, the indoor pool serves as a great escape! Even in these corona times, we felt safe and comfortable as we saw how much effort and pleasure the staff took in hosting us during our stay.

A fantastic little hotel in Shanklin Perfect hosts, spotlessly clean, just wish we had booked this hotel from the beginning of our stay. They were the saviors of our break away, we had initially booked a hotel in Ventnor but found it below the standards we wanted and asked Hotels.com to move us. They did so without any fuss and found this gem 'Fernbank' for us. A very big thank you to the hosts at the hotel and also to Hotels.com for their help. Would we stay at Fernbank again? that is a very definite YES excellent hotel in every way imaginable.
