Great long weekend in Santa Fe
We love Santa Fe. I recently had a surgery on my leg and couldn't walk far. It was an ideal location. Also the Hilton has a nice pool and we spent a lot of time lounging and relaxing at the pool.

Great Visit!
We had a wonderful stay at the Historic Hilton in Santa Fe. The Staff was very friendly and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we return to the area.

Nice hotel and staff in Santa Fe.
Nice hotel dear downtown. I booked through Hotels.com. When I booked the hotel, I mistakenly booked it for Friday night, when actually I needed it for Thursday night. It was was easy enough to edit my reservation but when I arrived at the hotel they had NOT received anything from Hotels.com showing the change in the room reservation. Thankfully, a room was still available. I was told this happens frequently with Hotels.com

Very bad and very good service experiences
I had a rough time that day dealing with a faulty rental car during vacation, and spent hours doing that instead of sightseeing. I was looking forward to a pleasant evening and as I checked in, waiting patiently in line, host Mark P. motioned for guests standing behind me in line to come forward so he could check them in. When I said I had been waiting longer, he just ignored me and a guest behind me explained that was the Hilton rewards line. Mark ignored me until all the much younger rewards customers were checked in and he was available, then was extremely terse and rude as he processed my room, not answering my questions, not explaining why he needed my credit card for my prepaid room, and overall a tone of voice that made me feel as welcomed as a visit from the IRS. I was upset. The room was very nice, the blankets on the bed were very very heavy for the climate, but overall a beautiful room. The next morning when I described to Scarlett at checkout how the check-in clerk had upset me, she gave me a pass for free breakfast and took the $20 parking fee off my bill. So, in the end the hotel redeemed itself, but they should not employ such unfriendly desk clerks as Mark who hate their jobs working with the general public! Scarlett, on the other hand, was a real gem!
