Very close - next door to one of the most beautiful parks in Taupo. Spa Park is home to several disc golf tournaments. Hole 6 is right beside the entrance to Grandeur. Very handy.

The Hotel itself is dated and run down (old heritage quirky). But it suited us as they allow dogs. The inside of our unit was ok and the bed was comfortable and clean. The surrounding grounds are great. A short walk to hot water swimming in the Waikato River. The room rate was very reasonable.

The laundry service and the cleaniness were excellent. We received an email after the booking to say pool was closed this was disappointing. The place is a little rundown. They were very helpful about booking in late. Due to English being my second language and the front counter peoples second language this was a little challenging.
