Not a Luxury Hotel.
Upon checking in and settling into our room I noticed that we do not have a remote control for the TV. I told the front desk about this to which they said they will take care of it. The following day in the evening, not hearing from them ALL day, I again go to the front desk and ask about the remote. The man in the front desk was rude and inappropriate, stating sarcastically that if i like he can put a brand new TV in the room with a brand new remote! I did not respond to his inappropriate tone but simply stated that all I want is a remote for the TV that’s already there. Not wanting to be spoken in that manner again I did not go back to the front desk enquiring about the remote. We stayed there for four nights and not only did I NOT get my remote, NO ONE front the front desk contacted me about the remote. There was absolutely NO communication from there part. I’ve read other posts from previous guests and the common theme, I’ve noticed, is that if you need something, you will not get it. I’ve read previous posts from guests asking for a fan or a hair dryer, for DAYS, and NOT getting it.

Great Location
Great location, great room design, great breakfast! Friendly staff, however it always felt when they made a recommendation that they were looking to put money in their own pockets. The head of the front desk was very insistent that we eat at the restaurant next-door and in fact walked us there; the food was terrible in the service even worse. We were pushed to go on a Vatican tour, which was €73 per person and supposed to be 3 1/2 hours. The tour had over 30 people on it and lasted less than two hours with very little information about the Vatican. When I ask about transportation to the airport the head clerk was insistent that we use their private car service the next morning; after waiting 30 minutes the private car never showed and we requested a taxi. The front desk was again insistent that we use their special taxi to the airport. While the door taxi said the trip was €48; the driver charged us €55. In the end, great location however do your research instead of relying on the hotel staff.

Absolute Gem in the Perfect Location to see Rome
Stop looking for hotels and stay here. This is the perfect location, you will be one one of the first quiet streets that feel like real Italy just steps away from the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, etc. The hotel is beautiful and has the most amazing art and sculpture collection. Their rooftop lounge / restaurant is lovely and the staff throughout our stay made us feel like VIP's. We were very sad to only have one short night here because there is an awesome piano bar on the first floor that has live music but unfortunately we could not enjoy it because of our 5am wake up call to get to the airport. Next time I am in Rome I will definitely stay here again! My travel companion kept asking me to check my email receipt because she was sure there was no way we could be staying somewhere so gorgeous at the great cost we got. And we have been to 9 countries together, we're not new at this ;)
