Great stay, great hotel! Friendly staff, spacious rooms! Only thing was room cleanliness could improve, I could feel dust in the room, causing allergies.

great hotel and location
Stayed in Chicago from Thur to Sun and Four Seasons was perfect due to ideal location in downtown and near Mag Mile as well as shopping/food.

Four Seasons - amazing Summer visit!
It was a great stay. The lake view was breathtaking...the bed was insanely comfortable...modern luxurious bathroom too! The room service food was better than most really nice restaurants. Service was fantastic and there is great shopping beneath the hotel. I can't imagine staying anywhere else for future trips. :)

Very nice but far from perfect
It was relaxing, great breakfasts and room service. The lobby is lovely. The view of the lake from our suite was amazing. The sofa bed (for our 2 small daughters) was uncomfortable enough that they complained it was "bumpy." Overall service was friendly enough but there were definite disappointments. Usually our kids get something special and little surprises are in the room at night. There was chocolate one night, as well as fruit on the first night, but that was it. The room looks slightly dated--needs some upgrades. I was disappointed that though my 3 yr old daughter and I arrived at 9 am (my husband and other daughter were arriving from California later that day), our room wasn't ready until 2:40 (check in is 3). It was a Wednesday. The doormen, though friendly when available, were not there to open the door (I was frequently pushing a stroller)--I would estimate at least 50% of the time. Lastly, there was a server in the restaurant that had a strange flat affect half of the time (I am naturally friendly and warm so it had nothing to do with my attitude), and disapproving about 20% of the time. The other servers were wonderful and warm however. Overall service was just a bit subpar.

Obnoxious desk clerk turns me away
Many employees were super friendly: Eva in housekeeping (for 30th floor) was delightful and hard working, Maureen in the spa was caring, Maddy and Lydia at the front desk were kind and competent. One employee at the front desk (when I checked in) was inhospitable, rude, and conniving. I did not enjoy my welcome at the hotel. After that experience, my stay improved, luckily. The toilet did flood the room once (the plumbing broke), and the staff had to come fix it and mop up. This was handled grudgingly and without white-glove service that I would expect. All our towels were used to mop up the floor. Then, the janitor left. I had to call him back to ask for new towels, which he then threw onto the back of the toilet. No one came to place them into our bathroom neatly, or to use a cleaner to mop up the toilet flood. Later, I opened the closet door near the bathroom, and I found more puddles of water inside. The janitor had not cleaned up the flood carefully.
