Disappointed.
The property itself was beautiful, ornate, and exciting. However the service was horrible. We found out the shower didn't drain on the morning we were trying to leave and needed to shower. We couldn't use the hot tub or pool on check-in because it closed early. We couldn't use it at 8am because that was too early. They have a text message customer service while you're staying at the hotel and they even make joke of the fact that they don't care about these deficiencies. If you can't use any of the amenities: shower, pool, hot tub... why not be honest up front so we could stay at a hotel where the price matched the no- features.

Charming.
The hotel is charming. Staff friendly. The place is old and therefore doesn’t have as many conveniences as I would like. They had to roll a refrigerator into the room. The walls are quite thin and noise was an issue. Finding an outlet to charge the devices was a challenge.

Could have been great.
The Encanto is in an built up strip are of box stores and chain restaurants. As a "resort" I expected some kind of grounds, but asphalt is what i got. The hotel lacked a bar and restaurant and we were forced to go out for dinner. I dont like to have to drive for non special food choices, but that's was what was available. DEpspite the lack of basic services, The room was one of the most comfortable I have ever been in. Great place to sleep but dont expect anything else.
