Amari Phuket truly confounds the senses. I have traveled to more than 30 countries both as a humanitarian, and a blogger/writer. I often times don't feel as if I'm on vacation given that I'm usually focused on taking notes and photographs. This is my second time to Phuket island but my first time staying as a guest at Amari. The staff is amazing, which is actually an understatement. I feel like I'm in heaven, every one is accomadating, iknowledgeable, and professional. I've been fortunate to have conversations with Mr. Pierre-Andre who serves as the Vice President, the General Manager, and people lIke Anisha who make you feel like you're right at home here. I am traveling solo but Amari offers the perfect experience for couples, families and solo travelers as well. There a great restaurants on the resort property, La Gritta is my favorite. There are multiple pools and if you're able to, I highly recommend choosing the package that allows access to the club house. Each mornign the club house offers an assortment of coffee, jucies, tea and other breakfast items. The club house overlooks the stunning Adaman Sea and has a infinity pool that has been my favorite hang out spot. Each evening they host a cocktail hour and everyone is so friendly, the environment is relaxing. I could go on and on about the views, food, people and pools but, I'll just say this, if you're fortunate to come to Phuket, Amari is the only place to stay; there simply isn't a better option on the island.

Gem of a hotel & fabulous staff !!!
We are just back from an outstanding hokiday to Phuket. We stayed at the Amari Phuket and are so happy that we decided to stay there. It is an outstanding property - in a great location, great facilities, fabulous rooms, close but far at the same timefrom the touristy streets and above all outstanding levels of service by the staff. We stayed in a 2 Bedroom Ocean facing suite, which had a two bedrooms (with attached bathrooms), a fully functional kitchen, a large living area and a large balcony with beautiful views of the bay & Patong Staying in the Ocean wing gives one access to the club house, which serves beverages during the day and also serve free drinks, a hot snack and starters in the evening. The infinity room that is attached to the clubhouse is fabulous and you get incredible views from there The GM, Pierre is a warm & great guy who personally is all over the hotel, looking into things personally. A hostess in the restaurant & clubhouse, Yumei is also excellent and is so warm & hard-working in her interactions. Overall the hotel was way better that what we expected and the research we had done before going there A warm "thank you" to all the staff, especially Yumei & Pierre

Great hotel!
I definitely recommend this hotel. The hotel is a few minute drive to the center of the city and the beach is right in front of the hotel so it is convenient. The rooms were also clean and room service was great. Our room had an ocean front view and it had an amazing view. Breakfast was also delicious, they have a buffet with various choices. The only downside is that the hotel is so big and it can be a long walk to the lobby depending where your room is located, but they do however offer a free shuttle from your room to the lobby. The hotel is also very busy all the time so if you are looking for a cozy getaway then this would not be the place for you. We also had one night where our air conditioning was not working but the staff went out of their way to upgrade our room to a suite with no extra charge. overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel 😊

Very Good 8.0
This is perhaps one of the best properties in Phuket. The rooms are awesome and the views are killer waking up to a beautiful sea view every morning. The only negatives I can think of are (i) if you are in the villas, these are situated on the hill side and walking down to the reception, dining and pool is a chore in the blazing sun. The hotel runs a shuttle back and forward on demand, but be prepared to wait for a pickup, sometimes 10-15 minutes. (ii) as the hotel is slightly out of town, you have to get a tuk tuk to get there. Not a hassle as they are cheap (200 Baht) but some of the drivers believe they are grand prix drivers with their small engines that never seem to get out of second gear! It's an experience, but remember to tell the driver to take it easy driving!

luxurious and a bit secluded stay
I would recommend this place if you want a more private stay, but I don't think we would stay at this hotel again. Let's get down to it: The goods: - the first two nights we were there, we were upgraded to a clubhouse sea view suite, the room was really spacious, beautiful sleek and modern design. They also come with washing machines. - With the upgrade, I got access to the club house that comes with exclusive pool, and FREE afternoon tea or pre-dinner canapés, it is a very good value because unlike many other hotels, you can order any cocktails on top of the normal drinks from their menu. They do the best strawberry cocktail, I don't normally drink but I had 3 that day. - the property has 3 pools, a private betty and beach. - the service was good and the staff were friendly and helpful The not-so-good: - The second time we got a sea view deluxe room, and that was a bit dated. And it wasn't very clean, I guess because it was a busy period, Songkran. - it is further away from town, and on a hill, so we took a taxi to go and come back from town. If we go to Phuket again, we will stay somewhere closer. - if you have a room up the hill, you either yo walk up (they are quite steep and windy) or wait for your buggy ride turn and from the lobby. Not the most convenient especially if they are busy. They are not a bad hotel, you just might have to consider the location and walking ability around the resort. Happy travelling.
