Nickel and dime
the initial person i tried to check in with was rude. After typing her dissertation and staring at her monitor for several mins, she said my room was ready but I owed an early check in fee. I spent no less than $2,000 for drinks, food, room, etc in 3 nights and she’d rather watch me open my suitcase in the lobby to get a couple things out and have the bell hop store my bags until checkin time in an hour than waive a bullshit $25 early check in fee. Nickel and dime much? Won’t stay there again. May sound minor but there are plenty of options that have better customer service.

A+ in DC
Restaurant/Bar downstairs was great. Only drawback was free WiFi only available in lobby with our level of booking.

Bad Experience
First they sent us to a room that does not exist 5107 rather than 507. No help with luggage as well. I would not recommend this hotel

Fancy and fun
The hotel was beautiful...a lot fancier than what we are used to. It was pretty clean (I'm tough on this one) and the sheets felt a little rough to me (but I like really soft sheets)! We weren't used to staying at a hotel with bell hops and car attendants, so we felt some pressure to tip anyone who helped, which made us turn down help more often than not. It was pretty close to the museums, but I would choose a somewhat closer hotel next time since we walked about 1 mile each way to get food or see sights. Overall it was a beautiful hotel! The bedroom decor was very unique/fun (the wallpaper had colonial time designs). We just concluded that we're "Holiday Inn" people which made us feel somewhat uncomfortable there, but it was a wonderful experience to see how "the rich" people live!
