Good For A Little Stay
We stayed for a four-night trip. The first room we had was alright, but there was a constant noise from the room so we switched. The next room was more spacious but the bed was very uncomfortable, the toilet would not flush properly, and with very little outlets. I would go back but only for a night or two.

Nothing 'grand' about this Grand Hotel
Terrible stay While both the rooms were spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds, the first was tiny, with no working aircon nor tv The room (eventually) moved to was much better, larger, mostly working tv (missing about a dozen channels) and excellent aircon, but had some form of animal life living in the wall void between the cupboard and the desk, which rustled, scrabbled, scratched and nibbled all night long And that cupboard? No shelf, just a pole for hanging things Now, all of that would be bad enough, but the reception staff's behaviour was, frankly, unacceptable When reporting the faulty tv, was told a colleague would come and check it Twenty minutes later, no colleague. So I rang again and also told them about the faulty aircon, to be told the colleague would bring me a new room key for the new room I packed everything up, cooled my heels for another ~ten minutes, then went down to reception to find three staff chatting away She gave me my new room key without a word, and I went of to the new room When I rang to complain about the wall-dwelling wildlife, I was told there were no other rooms available

Great hotel
Excellent stay but would say price was not very competitive and with extra tax on top which I did not notice advertised through hotels .com

Comfortable but LOUD
I seem to have accidentally booked the Queen's suite. This room had everything, and was huge (not just by British standards either, just huge). The only downside is that if you book here around the holidays, or on a weekend, you may have the misfortune of sleeping above a function room that blasts music until 2:00 A.M. Earplugs can deal with the treble, but you will feel the bass through your very being. The fact that the main function of a hotel room is to provide a place to sleep, and this one failed on that front for one night out of four, but still gets 4 stars would suggest that the rest of the experience was top notch.

Stay away
Stayed there on Wednesday of this week with two colleagues. There is major construction on the second floor witch makes lots of noice. Not cool to place residents so close to the construction. Gave us a free meal for the trouble. Howver choose other hotel
