Very Good 8.0
Quirky
It’s a European hotel so it can have unexpected surprises Americans. Upon arrival it was hot, humid but there was no air conditioning. To turn on several lights and fan, you have to insert the key card into a slot next to the bathroom wall. Since Americans aren’t use to that, you will probably forget the key card when you go out; I did. The receptionist said it happens a lot. My companion and I got two key cards. Both should operate the elevator and door, but only one did both. One card just operated the elevator, which is pretty useless if one person leaves by him/herself. Even the bellman wasn’t sure why it worked that way. The SALT restaurant is good but pricey. They even charged for some lemon for my glass of water.

It was sooo hot for our stay. Loved the area, loved the outdoor restaurant and service. Wished we could have had a sheet for cover- it was way too hot for blankets or feather bed. Thankfully you provided a fan. Will try again- hope cooler days.

An amazing location
What an amazing location! It overlooks the water to the Opera House, which glows colorfully in the evening. It is close enough to Nyhavn for easy access yet not affected by the noisy crowds. The #66 bus stops right beside the hotel. So convenient! The cafe tables in front of the hotel were always congenially occupied, which made for a lively and fun scene. We bought the buffet breakfast every morning and thought it was good value for money: tasty, bountiful and a broad selection. The entire hotel is undergoing a renovation, but we were not affected by it in any way. The decor in our room was somewhat dated (hence the renovation!) but nothing was at all shabby or poorly maintained. We enjoyed a lovely stay in a lovely city!

Did not honor reservation
Hotel did not honor our reservation. Sent 2 emails notifying of late arrival. 11:30 PM. First gave us a room that turned out to be occupied. Then said they had no more rooms. Walked us over to a hotel 10 minutes away.
