Cheap place, get almost what you pay for--
parking was terrible; bed very uncomfortable--fights outside and in other rooms; carpet was filthy--we had paid for 2 nights but only stayed one--no refund offered --others should know it is right on a main road, so very noisy all night and close to the airport approaches, so plane noise all night long--good price for a place to crash, but would not do it again !

Overpriced
The best thing about this hotel was that it was within walking distance of balboa park. The door didn't fit in the doorframe, big gap. Towels like sand paper. Skimpy blanket. We were actually cold at night. No in room coffee, not even a glass in the bathroom. Not a particularly good area either. Noisy.

VERY Rustic
The Lodge is right off the 163 fwy exit, so it is VERY noisy. The room was clean, but the sheets felt very old and worn. We had to use a blanket from our car because there wasn’t one on the bed, or extra in the closet. The towels were stained.

This place is more run down than the photos show. We were woken up to people drilling and slamming things all morning. If you’re doing construction, you should let people know this ahead of time. What I paid was way too much for a place like this.

Awful service.
From the moment we got there it was instant red flags. The man at the front desk was basically whispering to us and getting attitude when asked to repeat himself. Then our room door wouldn’t open with any of the keys given to us the way the man had instructed us to open it. Each time we got into our room it was a 5-10 minute battle with the door opening. On top of that we placed our parking pass on our window and parked in the lot connected to the hotel but received a ticket because this man also failed to let us know they don’t have a parking lot they just have two spots in front of the office that are available and the empty parking lot connected to their building still has to be paid for separately. Lastly, the walls are basically paper thin and you will be woken up by every single person and vehicle that passes by your room or the hotel. Overall wouldn’t stay there longer than one night it’s an inconvenience.
