Great location, dated rooms
The location was great! Walking distance to all the bars in Gaslamp Quarter. We ejnoyed our stay but are unsure if we would stay again. Rooms felt a little dated. Though the hotel is an historic gem, I feel rooms could be modernized a little. The bathroom and shower did not look pristine and were a little moldy.

Great place to stay, close to Gaslamp, but a block away keeping street noise down. The room I was in caught a direct echo from the bar area, though, so it was a little hard to get to sleep before 10. Everything else was exactly as expected and lovely.

Very loud!
Was very excited for my stay because I was familiar with this hotel from visiting comic-con each year, but was left disappointed. I upgraded my room to get a city view balcony and didn’t get that. I spoke with front desk and was transferred to the manager who told me all rooms booked and basically too bad. The room had dirty walls in the bathroom and dirty table tops. and starting at 8am there was POUNDING on the walls and ceilings from what I have to assume was construction that I was never informed about and went on for at least 2 hours when I finally left. I was located on the 3rd floor.
