Perfect for a night getaway

We had the corner room on second floor that had a fantastic little balcony overlooking busy downtown so that was fun. The fireplace made it a bit cozy with a lot of charm. But, when it came to sleep, the noise was so loud that we couldn't fall asleep! But we did enjoy the lovely bar downstairs with live music! Perhaps we will try a different room next time. We do want to go back!

Historic Gem
A surprising find in the Gas Lamp district of San Diego. Beats the Marina hotels hands down. Every room has a gas fireplace. And....cafe 222 is literally at the doorstep. Highly recommended.

Old but good location
Staff was friendly, room was old and and a little worn. I believe the staff did a good job cleaning, it is just an old building. Probably a good hotel if you enjoy buildings with historic charm and character. Elevators seemed like they could use some maintenance. I didn't have any issues with noise as mentioned in other reviews, but I wasn't there on a weekend.
